Let’s answer your first question right off the bat: What is ghee?

The short answer is that ghee is butter with all of the milk solids removed. Sometimes, you’ll even see it referred to as “clarified butter.” This superfood originated in India, and you’ll often see it on menus but many consumers don’t yet know just how powerful it is!

Traditionally, ghee is crafted by simmering butter and then removing any impurities from the surface of the butter. After that, the clear, liquid fat is retained and the milk solids are taken out. This means that ghee has a buttery taste, but that it’s also wonderfully free of lactose, dairy, and caseins.

Plus, ghee is rich in fat soluble vitamins A and K, Linoleic Acid, and Medium Chain Fatty Acids. These compounds all actively support a healthy immune system, and they do so without any of the allergy-causing milk proteins or solids found in regular butter. The Linoleic Acid that occurs naturally in ghee has also been found to be super-effective at reducing blood pressure, body fat, and inflammation.

In addition to organic ghee (naturally!), GheeMe POP’s three Yummy, Healthy, Happy flavors (OriginalPOP, TrufflePOP, and HoneyPOP) are all crafted with nutrient-rich, non-GMO, and organic ingredients sure to give a boost to both your body and your mind.
